Casey Flenniken Wins Golf Professional of the Year

KNOXVILLE, TN – On Monday, December 12, Casey Flenniken, PGA was awarded the Knoxville Chapter PGA Professional of the Year Award. This prestigious award is the highest honor paid to a PGA Golf Professional in the Knoxville Chapter. The recipient of this award must demonstrate outstanding leadership, strong moral character, and a substantial record of service to the. Pros are nominated by their peers for this award with an awards committee that evaluates the nominees and selects the award recipients.

This was not Casey’s only award this year. Casey was also awarded the 2022 Tennessee PGA Player of the Year. Jim West, PGA Career Consultant and former Tellico Village Director of Golf stated “It’s a huge deal. Precious few professionals who work hard in the industry find time to play very often, much less play at a very high level.” Chris Sykes, Director of Golf Operations at Tellico Village stated, “Casey is certainly very deserving of both awards, especially considering his efforts with Tanasi Restoration in the past few months.”

With this award of Chapter Golf Professional of the Year, Casey becomes one of five candidates for Tennessee Section PGA Golf Professional of the Year. This award will be announced at the Tennessee Section PGA Annual Meeting on February 27th.
