Tellico Village Director of Golf Operations Casey Flenniken, PGA

Casey began his tenure as Director of Golf for Tellico Village in February 2023. Casey started at Tellico Village in 2016 as a golf professional at Tanasi. Casey is an east Tennessee native and a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan University in Athens, Tennessee. While at Tennessee Wesleyan, Casey was a highly decorated collegiate golfer: AAC 1st Team All Conference 2008-2011, PING All-American 2010, 2011, AAC Team South Member 2011, AAC Conference Player of the Year 2008. After turning professional in 2012, Casey continued his success on and off the course, competing at the national level of the PGA Assistant’s Championship in 2012, 2017, 2018, 2019 and earning the coveted 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, & 2019 Tennessee Section PGA Assistant Professional Player of the Year Award and the 2019 Tennessee Section PGA Player of the Year Award. 2017 & 2018 PGA Tour Knoxville Open Participant.
In addition to playing and teaching success, Casey had won multiple golf professional awards from the Knoxville Chapter PGA including Merchandiser of the Year and the 2022 Golf Professional of the Year.

Toqua Golf Course Head Golf Professional Adam Jacob
Adam Jacob grew up in New Berlin, Wisconsin and began playing golf at the age thirteen. He played golf through high school and lettered his junior and senior year. After high school, Adam attended college at Ferris State University where he did multiple golf internships at places like Whistling Straights in Kohler, WI, West Brook Country Club in Mansfield, OH and Mission Hills Country Club in Palm Springs, CA. When graduating from Ferris State University in May 2003 with a degree in Marketing and Golf Management, Adam took his first assistant’s position at Tellico Village. Less than a year later, Adam completed his PGA work and became an official PGA member.
Adam has enjoyed his time working with all the Tellico leagues and taking part in the changes at the village over the past seventeen years. In 2017, 2018, 2019 & 2020, Adam received the Richard Eller Growth of the Game Award from the Knoxville PGA section, 2019 won the award at Tennessee Section level for his ways of growing golf at Tellico Village and the community.

Links at Kahite Head Golf Professional Charles Roffers

Charles Roffers is the Head Golf Professional at The Links at Kahite. He spent 3 years at the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course at Florida State University as and Assistant Golf Professional. His role is to assist with golf shop operations, events and employee scheduling. Charles also gives lessons. Meeting new people is one of his favorite things about his job. The light of his life is his 5-year old daughter Charlotte. When he’s not spending time with the budding kindergartener, he enjoys disc golf and mountain biking.

Tanasi Golf Course Head Golf Professional Lucas Forstrom, PGA

Lucas Forstrom is an East Tennessee native, growing up in nearby Oak Ridge. He is a two-time graduate of the University of Tennessee’s Sport Management program (B.S. 2013, M.S. 2016). He has worked in various roles for the Tennessee Golf Foundation and Tennessee Section PGA from 2014 until 2021. He started in Tellico Village as an Assistant Golf Professional at Kahite from August 2021 through April 2022, prior to moving base location to Toqua through July 2023, and has been at Tanasi since then. Lucas was named Assistant Golf Professional of the Year for the Knoxville Chapter of the PGA of America in 2023. When not on the golf course, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Samantha, who is a teacher in Knox County Schools and their son.

Tanasi Assistant Golf Professional Joe Britton
Joe Britton is the Assistant Golf Professional at Tanasi Golf Club. His role is to help the staff with golf operations. He graduated from Sequoyah High school in 2020 and recently graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan University in 2024 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management. He was a standout player on the golf team where he would earn All-Conference Honors his senior season. He worked on the maintenance crew at Madisonville Golf Club from 2020-2024 and served as the golf instructor at the club for the previous two years. His family has owned Madisonville Golf Club since 2019.
Links at Kahite Assistant Golf Professional Jay Burgin
Raised in Crossville, TN, Jay graduated from Stone Memorial High School in 2018 and recently graduated from Maryville College in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management. He was a stand-out player on the Scots’ golf team. He worked with the maintenance crew at Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain from 2016 to 2021 and at Dick’s House of Sport as a golf sales associate from 2020 to 2022. Jay’s Father, Kelvin, is the Head Golf Professional in at Bear Trace at Cumberland Mountain in Crossville.

Toqua Golf Course Part-Time Golf Professional Sharon Lemmelman, PGA
Sharon is a PGA member who was born in Canada and became an All-American golfer at the University of Central Florida. Following college, she became a tour player and then Head Professional/Teaching Professional in Florida and North Carolina. Having retired from being in the golf business full-time, Sharon and her husband, Mark, have been residents of Tellico Village for 2 years. She considers herself blessed to have the opportunity to meet and service other residents and assist the golf operation at Tellico Village.
