Golf Cart Winning Hole-in-One the Highlight of Red-Tail Hawk Invitational

Tellico Village, TN – The hole-in-one contest during a golf event is so commonplace it has developed into its own industry of sorts between sponsors, golf facilities, and insurance companies. Not so commonplace is a golfer actually converting and winning the grand prize. That was the case on Friday, June 17th when Scott Kreiter, guest of his brother and Tellico Village member Mark Kreiter, made an ace on the contest hole at Toqua during the Red-Tail Hawk Invitational. The hole, #13, was playing stout 172 yards and is rated as the third most difficult hole on the golf course. Still, the Illinois native hit the shot of a lifetime to hole out from the tee.

The prize for this incredible feet was a brand new golf cart courtesy of Tellico Village golf cart service and corporate sponsor Ladd’s. With upgraded seats, cupholders, and rims the cart was valued into five figures.  Trent Goss, who has managed these types of contests for Ladd’s in Tellico Village and around the Knoxville area countless times, said this was the first time he experienced someone actually converting to win the prize. After all parties, including witnesses, work through the proper paperwork and protocols, the cart will be awarded to its rightful new owner.
